When hydrogen peroxide meets skin, oral and mucous membrane wounds, pus or dirt, it immediately decomposes to produce oxygen. This kind of oxygen atoms, which have not been combined into oxygen molecules, has a strong oxidizing ability. When it comes in contact with bacteria, it can destroy the bacterial cells and kill the bacteria. After killing the bacteria, the remaining substance is water without any poison or irritation. Will not form secondary pollution. Therefore, hydrogen peroxide is an ideal disinfectant for wound disinfection. However, you cannot use high-concentration hydrogen peroxide for wound disinfection to prevent burns to the skin and the affected area. Let’s take a look at how to wash your ears with hydrogen peroxide.
1. Deal with dirt
For cleaning the purulent ear, the first step is to use a clean cotton swab to keep it dry. Then slowly insert the cotton swab into the ear to absorb the thick water inside. Remember to be careful not to hurt your ears again.
2. Drop hydrogen peroxide into the ear canal
After the ear canal is cleaned, drip hydrogen peroxide into the ear canal. Be sure to drip the entire ear canal. The purpose of this is to disinfect, and the other is to soften some of the harder dirt in the ear canal to facilitate subsequent cleaning.
3. Soak
After filling the ear canal with hydrogen peroxide, soak for 5-10 minutes. The time must be enough, because if the time is not reached, the earwax will not be softened enough, and the subsequent cleaning work will be more difficult.
4. Soak up hydrogen peroxide
After 10 minutes, absorb the hydrogen peroxide in the ear canal. You can use a cotton swab or cotton. Remember to suck up the hydrogen peroxide in the ear canal, because even though it is hydrogen peroxide, it can cause inflammation of the ear canal if it is not sucked up.
5. Apply anti-inflammatory drugs
When the ear canal is sucked dry, apply some anti-inflammatory drugs. It can be ointment or potion. After that, just keep your ears clean.
